2019 Laneway Summit

On Tuesday May 7, 2019, The Laneway Project hosted Beyond Gross — a public summit to launch a brand new set of public planning resources that will help transform Toronto laneways into shared places that enhance our densest and fastest-growing neighbourhoods.

At the new MOCA on Sterling Road, we unveiled Turning Laneways into Public Spaces, a new laneway analysis, typology framework and revitalization toolkit created in collaboration with Shelagh McCartney of +together design lab and Ryerson University; our interactive digital map; and a helpful collaborative planning guide.

We also chatted with a panel of City and community leaders about what the resources will mean to their planning, operations, neighbourhoods, and constituents.
